Hangzhou education authority says investigation underway after social media influencer claims provider in breach of policy

The Hangzhou education authority said on Thursday that it was verifying the situation involving New Oriental, a well-known after-school tutoring service, after a social media influencer reported the firm was breaking the double reduction policy.
杭州市教育部門(mén)于周四表示，其正在核實(shí)課外培訓(xùn)機(jī)構(gòu)新東方的情況，此前，抖音“打假”網(wǎng)紅舉報(bào)新東方違反雙減政策，違規(guī)補(bǔ)課。
In July 2021, China introduced a set of guidelines known as the double reduction policy to ease the burden of excessive homework and off-campus tutoring for students undergoing compulsory education.
2021年7月，中國(guó)出臺(tái)名為“雙減政策”的指導(dǎo)方針，旨在減輕義務(wù)教育階段學(xué)生過(guò)重作業(yè)負(fù)擔(dān)和校外培訓(xùn)負(fù)擔(dān)。
